Fostering stories that elevate thought, for both film and print.
H. S. Fishbrook is a writer and story analyst whose work encompasses both film and print. Her love for dramatic storytelling sprung to life while studying abroad at The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the Globe Theatre in the UK, where history collides with mythology, and elegant verse fills the air like a tantalizing perfume. After touching the red-marbled pillars of this heaven on earth, she returned home to California to begin storytelling in her proverbial backyard. She earned an MFA in Writing for Screen and TV, then spent her first few years in LA writing Audio Description multimedia for audiences with accessibility needs. (Ask her more about AD and sheβd be delighted to talk shop.) Since then she has spent her days assessing both scripts and books for possible development; her biggest client to date is Amazon Studios. Today, she's tackling her first novel, set along the California coastline. When she's not immersed in wordsmithing or world building, she heads outside to listen to the birds and record their songs at the edge of the Santa Monica Mountains, where she lives with her husband.
Read service pieces from Script Magazine that help wordsmiths (and their friends) share more constructive feedback on fledgling drafts.
